The CCAS "Manufacturer-Approved" Solution
At Ct Clean and Son, we don't just "blast" your roof. We follow the official GAF Technical Advisory (TAB-R-102) to ensure your shingles remain under warranty while getting perfectly clean.
Our Soft-Wash Process:
* Professional Chemical Blend: We use the GAF-recommended mixture of water, sodium hypochlorite, and TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate).
* Gentle Application: We apply the solution using specialized low-pressure garden sprayers—never a high-pressure wand.
* Dwell Time: We allow the mixture to sit for up to 20 minutes to safely kill the algae at the root.
* Low-Pressure Rinse: We finish with a low-pressure water rinse to reveal a bright, clean roof without damaging the shingle structure.
⚠️ Important: What NOT To Do
Never power wash your shingles. Some companies offer this, but GAF explicitly warns against it.
* Granule Loss: High pressure dislodges the protective granules of your shingles.
* Premature Failure: Loss of granules leads directly to premature shingle failure and will likely void your roof warranty.
